Friends with Big Budgets? Here’s How to Maintain Your Money Goals

Do you have boujee friends with boujee budgets? I think we all do in some respect. Whether it’s dinner dates, vacations, gifts, sometimes it’s hard to keep up – especially if you’re navigating a money journey.

If you’re struggling to keep up financially with those around you, we have some friendly tips to help keep you on track ⬇️

1️⃣ Be honest

Honesty should be the foundation of every friendship, we accept our friends for who they are and we’re all different. If we’re struggling financially and don’t share our burden our friends can’t accommodate, sympathise or understand. Free yourself of the burden and be honest with your friends, you’ll spend a lifetime covering up otherwise.

2️⃣ Be respectful

Respect your friends for their choices, they may have more disposable income to spend on the nice things in life and you should be respectful of that. If you constantly analyse somebody else’s spending habits it’s wasted energy and not adding to your life in any way. Let it go.

3️⃣ Share

If you’re on an intense money journey or working towards a money goal, share it with your friends. Let them know what you’re trying to achieve and let them support you through it. If you feel like you’re saying no to things all the time that’s ok. Let your friends share in your journey, you never know it may just inspire them to do the same!
